hat es nun in den letzten zwei Tagen ohne alle Einwände funktioniert oder eben nicht ? Gab es also doch kleinere oder größere Störungen mit anderen Service Providern als OTENET ? Interesant ist nur eine vollständig "erleuchtende" Antwort, die dazu auf den Punkt kommt.

Dear Mr Uhlen,
We inform you that because of the earthquake that took place on the evening of Wednesday of 21 May in Algeria, heavy damage was caused in international wires (SMW3, Flag, Colombus3) that go through the Algerian territory ,As a result interruption, , of all functions for international interconnections(links) of Network of OTEnet has taken place. Consequence of this interruption is the temporary unavailability of International sites for all OTEnet subscribers . Already big efforts are taking place from our company and all the involved institutions for the re-routing of those of interconnections and the direct re-establishment of access in the International Internet. OTEnet will continuously keep you informed for the course our re-establishment efforts in order to resolve international interconnections issue. A temporary solution for the dysfunction that has occurred is the activation of the Proxy Server . The process is : (Start)/ (Settings)/ (Control Panel)/ (Internet Options)/(Card Connections)Then you select the (Default) connection and under the button (Remove) you will select (Settings). In the new tab that is presented, you activate the regulation (Use Server Transporter of mediation on this Connection) (Use a proxy server for this connection). In the address field you type http://proxy.otenet.gr>http://proxy.otenet.gr</A> and in the field of port write : 8080. For any other subject it occurs we remain in your disposal.
